How does my product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My video uses challenges by showing how modern-day heart break can influence woman especially when they are lied to. It shows how fast social media and videos can reveal the truth this is a topic not often shown in music videos and would really be a good catch to pop and even rap videos since that is generally what people are making music about, things like heart break and getting cheated on. It shows how much a challenge can be and how difficult it can truly be. The realization represented just how horribly they were being treated and how their lives would be better off without these people. It can represent multiple social groups and many women in general, there are so many women that are being taken advantage of and being lied too constantly but are too afraid to say anything. This video shows that woman should not be settling for individuals that are treating them bad and not giving them what they need. Clearly, my music video conveys social group issues and challenges and overcoming them. 

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? My video can engage with the audience in multiple ways. There is an interesting and interactive plot that numerous people can relate to and want to continue watching. It engages with the audience by showing a story and luxury and moving on from a low point in life. My video could be a real media text because it has a similar plot to pop music videos and could be an interesting music video plot. My plot does have a bit more detailed and interactive plot than others because many could apply to it, and it is rather unexpected due to the relaxed scenes at the beginning of the video. It is also different and does not entail the regular things a music video might have. My music video could not only go with the song I picked but it is also versatile so it could go with any song.  

How did your production skills develop throughout this project? Throughout this project my perception of filming and editing have advanced for various reasons. I have become more productive when it comes to filming and blogging assignments because of the consistent blogs and assignments that my music video followed. This also showed me how to film for about quality over quantity because I took my time while filming and took multiple days only to film only a majority of the video. I have learned to film different angles for different reactions and emotions and the different angles that enhance certain features and gestures. I have learned why we take notes of these angles during extracts and why they are so important in a film. As far as editing goes, I have learned tons of new editing tricks for transitions and clips that will definitely help my videos and projects in the near future.  I have learned an appropriate time to do a fade out and fade in and when it looks better to do a jump cut. I also learned how important it is for your video to have a theme when editing so that all of the videos can correlate and can go well together throughout the video. When editing I learned to edit the video translations according to the song, so it looked in beat and better planned.  

 

How did you integrate technologies software, hardware and online in this project? Throughout my video I used a wide variety of software and some hardware so I could produce the best music video to my ability. I used hardware technologies like my camera to film the video and create my project. I used different cameras through the different clips so the different videos through the video would appear different I did this so that the different qualities of the videos will tell a story and show how the world can appear a whole new way after you lift the weight off your shoulders and learn how to live on your own without the dependency of someone else. I used the different cameras for this reason and wanted to show that my video is not just a music video but also tells a life story. My camera played a big part in the video because it had a good quality and could capture the video in a good way, whereas if I had a lower quality camera it would go against the theme of the video and appear different compared to a better quality. Software technologies were incorporated numerous times thought this project because of the platforms used for editing. I used the camera app to change the filters and appearance of the video so it can look more professional and will give a better look overall. I then used cap cuts to create and edit my video together. I used this platform for the rest of my video edits, and it was very helpful. I explored many other platforms throughout my research of the best and most affordable editing software but cap cuts were the most direct and easy to use for the needs I had for the video.

Production Blog: Starting My Filming

 I recently staring my filming. I also began planning my angles and shots for the rest of my scenes. I began filming my scene a the pool which will introduce he video. So far some of the challenges I have faced is relating the angles to the power struggle. I am learning when to do certain angles and from what distance to relate to the scene. Last minute we decided to change our song to God is a woman by Ariana Grande. When we changed the song it really set back my editing and planning. Before we began filming I began to rethink my planning and how we were going to film. I started to rethink my planning and how I was going to start playing the song. Production Blog: Planning Putting Together My Video

 For my blog I am planning to put together my video with one of my friends. It only requires one other individual. I am going to use the song Dark red. After I consulted with a few people I decided to do it with one of my friends Eva. She agreed to do it and now we just needed to find where we were going to film it. I just needed to find all the locations  I had on my storyboard. Thank God I have a pool and gym in my apartment so I could get them both. However for the mall and beach we would have to those locations to film. We are most likely just going to galleria mall and Fort Lauderdale Beach after. We can just film the bed room shots in my room. I want to make the videos on my phone and then edit them on Capcuts. I want to use some new techniques I have learned from the last project on this one. I would like to use new transitions and new editing skills.
